Scorpio / 8th House Guidance

We are in the midst of Scorpio Season (Oct 23–Nov 22) and the New Moon in Scorpio is around the corner on Nov 13 exact at 1:27am PST.

This is the time of year when we are ritually called into the depths. The light of the Sun is guiding our way into the Underworld, realm of buried or denied truths, histories, realities and emotions; realm of reckoning, release and renewal.

Entrance into this sacred (and sometimes terrifying) domain, requires surrender. There is no other way.

Scorpionic evolutionary potential lies in our willingness to relinquish the need for power over or control of our deepest emotions. In this relinquishment, the door opens for us to encounter truths previously unacknowledged or suppressed (individually, interpersonally, collectively) and to experience the depth of our feelings, however intense that process may be. It is through facing what has not yet been faced and processing through the accompanying emotions that root-level shifts can begin to unfold.

It's important to take note that the sign of Scorpio aligns with the 8th house of the zodiac, the final house in what Steven Forrest refers to as the "arc of intimacy" (houses 5-8). These particular houses center around relationship, with the 8th house being the realm of deepest, most intimate (radically honest, soul-naked) bonding and connection. This is the realm where human relationship can become a crucible for profound transformation and healing.

We are charged with finding reckoning-ready, deep-sea-diving, trusted others to join us in our Scorpionic / 8th house journeys. We are not meant to travel these roads alone. It is far too intense. The potentially strengthening and utterly clarifying Underworld space is here to be experienced with the companionship and support of others because what it demands of us is to the core.
